Is AGenO safe? Should you trust it?

Straight answers · last updated July 2026
The honest short version: AGenO is a real, working product made by one real person (me — Givin Yang, verified on LinkedIn and GitHub). It's free to try with no card, payments go through Stripe, I don't sell your data or train AI on it — and if you want zero data to ever leave your computer, you can run the whole thing locally. I'm a solo student project, not a big company, so I tell you honestly below what I can't offer yet, and what not to upload.

Who runs it

Just me — Givin Yang, a Computer Science student in Elk Grove, California, finishing my B.S. at CSU Sacramento. No company, no investors, no team. You can check that I'm a real person: LinkedIn, GitHub, and the full story on my About page. Every email to [email protected] comes straight to me.

Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

What I never do

I don't sell or share your personal data. I don't run targeted ads or ad trackers. I don't train AI models on your prompts or creations. Your images and videos are streamed to you and then deleted — I don't keep a library of them (the only things kept are what you choose to publish or save).

The strongest privacy option: run it on your own computer 🔒

Here's something most AI sites can't offer: AGenO can run entirely on your own hardware. Flip on local mode and your prompts and generations are processed on your machine — nothing leaves your device. If you're privacy-conscious, this is the safest way to use any AI tool, and it's built in and free.

Being honest about the limits

I'd rather tell you the truth than oversell. Because AGenO is a new, one-person project:

So my honest advice: use AGenO freely for everyday creative work and experimentation. Until I've earned more of your trust, please don't upload government IDs, medical or financial records, confidential work files, or intimate/private photos — and use a unique password. That's just smart with any young service, mine included.
